New CD: Urban Folktales

The main aim of the JBBG leaders Heinrich von Kalnein  (sax) and Horst Michael Schaffer (tp) is now for many years to take the a udiance to a historical new BigBand area. The concept is different from the solo/orchestra parts more to a clear group sound under using a high portion of electronical experiences and fusion side steps. 

This new masterpiece called "Urban Folktales" will again - like the last album Electric Poetry and HiFi Cookies - be THE benchmark of orchestral Jazz in this century. This time the band works with some international stars like the vietnames guitarist Nguyen Le, the german singer Theo Bleckmann and the Italian trombonist Gianluca Petrella. 

In May the JBG will present their new masterpiece live in Vienna, at the Jazzfest Bonn and the Elbjazz Festival in Hamburg (both Germany).
